  • Aromatherapy Recipes: How to Make an Aromatherapy Inhaler

Want to learn more ways to use essential oils? Sign up for Aromahead Institute's free online class, the Introduction to Essential Oils! The class is a great way to build a solid foundation in the understanding and use of essential oils...and it's completely FREE! This video is about how to make an Aromatherapy inhaler. It's simple! You can make an Aromatherapy inhaler for all sorts of issues—cold and flu (and other respiratory conditions), preventing illness and boosting immunity, healthy traveling, headaches, muscle tension, sleep, and more. If you've never used an inhaler, I go over what it is at 0:29. You can find them online at Aromatics International. When you make an Aromatherapy inhaler, you need a small bowl, tweezers, and the essential oils you're using. I'm using Opopanax, Balsam Fir, and Eucalyptus dives, but you can use any oils relevant to the issue you're blending for. Just remember you want about 15 drops total of essential oil in the inhaler. Place your 15 drops of essential oil in the bowl and soak the cotton part of the inhaler, using the tweezers to roll it around and make sure it's covered (2:00). Then place the cotton into the inhaler, close it up, and you're done!
